Definitely Not. Do you think he was having Botox treatment? Daniel Webster (January 18, 1782 – October 24, 1852) Regards, James
Is that the Capital Building in the background? Maybe it is a church seeing as how this is a Christmas stamp.
You are right Gunny, it is a Church and it looks a lot like the Quaipo church here. I attached the actual photo of the church. . source
Once went to the Philippines a long time ago while in the service. Was at Clark Air Force Base as it was known at the time. I'm actually thinking about a trip to Cebu later in the year to scout out possible retirement possibilities.
Here's Popeye, my stamp of the day. Anyone interested can peruse this interesting blog that kind of follows a topical narrative of Popeye stamps. http://stamps-popeye.blogspot.com/
Have thought many times about 'retiring' overseas... have spent some really good times in many parts of the world. Not a lot 'nailing' me to the USA except familiar haunts and knowing the culture inside and out. But I am adventurous as well... my Mom is the last of her family still alive (except for cousins) and my Dad's family is about to pass also. My wife's family on the other hand is very large and close so have to think about that as well. My preference, for the record, would be South America. Not that there aren't a lot of other nice places, but I am pretty much bi-lingual in Spanish and can get along in just about all of North and South America. My other choices would be New Zealand, South Africa, or Germany/Eastern Europe.
You are right James. I just searched Philippines churches because it is a Philippines stamp and picked the nearest lookalike in my opinion.
