A very talented artist!. I had a chance to see many of his bronze sculptures at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. Nice that you have a perfect 100 copy.

As you can tell, I have a few that are encapsulated. It's a Gem 100, but above the "AT" in STATES, there is something going on. Didn't see it until I scanned it in high resolution. Still like it though.

Really nice, how rare is this stamp?

Not very based on what it cost me. There are 309 graded by PSE with 19 making the Gem 100, Original Gum, Never Hinged designation. Set me back $85.00.

That's a beauty. I'm partial to blue anyway.

Yes, I love that stamp too, but unfortunately I don't own it. One of these days I'll fork out the money to buy one at auction.

My stamp of the day is a Scott #555 depicting Lincoln. Heavily cancelled in San Francisco, Ca. Anyone know what the 3 letters in from of "San" are? The first & third letters appear to be "S" and "O" respectively. Can't make out the second letter.

It's a nice precancel you have there. What I see there is a rolling precancel that went across the whole sheet of stamps, slightly misregistered with respect to centering. So what you are seeing is the "sco" from "San Francisco".

That makes sense. It didn't occur to me that I was seeing the last 3 letters of "Francisco". Thanks.

I like this Scott 537 "Victory" stamp. Not very colorful but has a lot going on.

Not colorful but like the art on it as well as the meaning. :)
