Thought I'd share some nice WWII Covers from my collection. I've always liked the different cashes that really showed what some people were thinking during these times. If anybody has some, I'd like to see them... View attachment 1508 View attachment 1509 View attachment 1510 View attachment 1511 View attachment 1512
they are very nice covers, sometimes a little sad but the second one down made me laugh so much i nearly fell out of my chair lol Sam, i was just wondering about Belguim, i seem to have a mass of spare railway stamps, once i have loaded all on to catawiki if you are interested i will stick a few pagets on here for you to check out Steve
I would be glad to look at any railway stamps you have available Steve. If I don't have them, then I'm interested
I have a couple of covers that are dated during the war, but they dont have any pictures on them about the war. If I get a chance, i will scan them and post them here.
Here is the letter from inside 1 of the 2 covers with the censor markings.....coming from Italy View attachment 1515
Thank you Sam, A littlt historic background is great for reference. The sergeant was lucky to have access to a typewriter and I just wonder if he sent any letters with stamp of the Bandoglo Governmen which should also be important as any postal history.
