Hello Makanudo, Hello Makanudo, the time here is London + 7 or Belgrade + 6 Belgrade 13:08 = Hua Hin 19:08 Saturday.
Hello Makanudo, seeing your avatar, reminds me the dragons etc. are frequently made here in Thailand, maybe made from wire or rope for the smaller versions or from steel (motorbike or car parts) for the larger ones. I took this photo about 18 months ago near the KWAI bridge of movie fame. These artists sit for 10-12 hours per day making these beautiful models. One young man near here makes 2 metre tall robots or Darth Vader like statues or ¼ scale motorbikes and rickshaws. Regards, James
There are two stamps of the 10 Pfennig (not Reichs-pfennig,what were introduced in 1924) numerals design, distinguishable by their watermarks. The first Michel cat.no.159 (Scott 138) is from May 1921 with the watermark Lozenges (Rauten in German). The scond is Michel 178 (Scott 162) from February 1922 with the watermark Network (Waffeln in German). The watermark Lozenges is very easy to see, even from the frontside. There is no other watermark worldwide,I know, what can be detected so easily. The watermark network is also easy to see,but not as easy as the Lozenges. Michel 159 in hinged condition is worth 20 €-Cent, never hinged about five times more.Like all inflation- time stamp it costs more genuinely used, about ten times the price of a mint, hinged stamp. Michel 178 is a much rarer stamp: mint hinged about € 6.-,never hinged € 20.-.Genuinely used, expertized (infla-geprüft),it is pretty costly:€ 240.-
Hi James, This dragon is not so exotic, but he he has some age. He is hanging from a sealing of an old castle in Slovenia and has been doing this since 17th century...
I read your post, but pleade forgive me for not understanding it. My stamp seems not to have been used, but I still cannot locate it in your descriptions
Hello Makanudo, Maybe this will help. http://colnect.com/en/stamps/list/variant/127442 Yours, to my eye, appears to be the first copy in green olive, but you need to confirm with the watermark type. Regards, James.
Hello Makanudo, your stamp is the first of this set first issued 12 March 1911 picturing Prince Regent Luitpold. They were in use until 1914 I believe that there are number of varients (4?) in the lettering of MÆRZ and the N in Bayern Regards, James.
First you need to examine the stamp very closely from front and rear to see if you can see the losenge or the waffels (rope like) design. A strong light might help. If this fails you will need to wet the stamp and examine again with a strong light. Make sure that your stamp is thoroughly dry before returning it to your album. Regards, James.
Hello Makanudo, SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION, I MISSREAD YOUR POST. I THOUGHT THAT WE WERE DISCUSSING THE 10 PFENNIG STAMP OF 1921-22. if this is the watermark pattern that you can see then you have the 1922-02 stamp (Brown-Olive) Regards, James.
As James had written German reichspfennig,I thought it was clear, that the stamp is from Germany. The inscription is: Deutsches Reich That was the official name of Germany from 1871 till 1945.
