    This stamp,issued March 15th,1935 is the latest one with a
    guide-line,I own.
    I wonder if selvage-markings like the following were a replacement
    for guide-lines:

    Richard,
    how can you be sure that this is a booklet stamp ?
    Did take it off from the card to check the (sideways) watermark ?
    If not,how did you make the watermark visible ?
