VINTAGE 1933 NAZI RALLY POSTCARD SENT AS BIRTHDAY CARD FROM BROTHER TO SISTER
Postcard with preprinted stamp to front.
    Not your everyday Birthday Card!
This postcard was sent to Louise Dresch as a birthday card from her brother and is postmarked 7.2.34
The picture to the front of the card shows the mass rally to hear the first speach of Adolf Hitler as Chancellor 30 January 1933.
    Nice Condition!
There is FREE SHIPPING on this item.

Well, the shown commemorative postcard is the most common
one of the Third Reich (Michel P 250).
The offered card is exorbitantly overpriced.
Anyone, who pays more than one Euro for this card, even in
the most possible pristine condition,is a fool !

Back on the old Catalogue Value thread again.
Something is only worth what someone will pay for it.
Catalogue Values are a rough guide and often a very, very rough guide.
I can think of many items related to the Confederate States that you could never pick up at even twice the Catalogue Prices.
And I see many posts telling of stamps with a catalogue price and the seller wonders why no one will buy!
Used items are often sought after by Specialist collectors for some reason or another. I know one collector who collects Postcards and Envelopes with Queen Victoria Stamps, but only those cancelled in Cardiff. He will pay much more than the catalogue price because they are few and far between.
The Nazi card here did sell. To call the buyer a fool is more a reflection of the lack of understanding of specialist collecting by Werner than the actions of the buyer.
The card here in question has two qualities that I see may attract a specialist collector. The family name and the fact that it has been used as a Birthday card.
I know both collectors of Family Name Postal Items and of Birthday Cards.
So if Werner wants to prove his point, please post a link here to the same card that has either the same family name or has been used as a birthday card and is available for ONE EURO.
No ramblings, just a link please.

It seems to me "bickerstonehall" you might be the seller of that
    card.If so,my congratulations for finding a buyer.
There is nothing wrong with that, except the ridiculous high
    asking price !
Sure catalogue prices are not absolutely reliable. But,in this case,
Michel,is the best existing one.And if someone is asking for a
postcard more than ten times the catalogue value,it should
be a very special reason for that, except that he is looking for
a fool, who is willing to pay that.
What is special about that postcard ?
It is a used postcard. All used postcards are one of a kind.No one, except by error or if unsane, will send the same postcard with the same message on the same day to the same person
twice. So of course no second card, what is exactly the same as the described one, will exist.
If this card was written from or send to a person of historical
interest, let´s say some Nazi-great,a much higher price than
    catalogue would be O.K.
But this card is just a birthday-card from an ordinary person
to his sister.Nothing special about that.
Your comparison to items of the Confederated States is
inapplicable. As all such items are relatively rare and pricy.
Condition is the main factor, what makes the difference to
catalogue prices, what are given for a certain quality. If the
quality of the item is better, the price will be higher,if it is
worse the price will be lower, than the catalogue-price.
This is of course also true for the postcard in question.
However the difference is,that this is an item valued a
couple of Cents in a good quality. In a bad quality it is
almost worthless,in an excellent quality still less than
    one Euro.
So although not legally, the asking price of $ 12.- to me
    is a kind of crookery.

I think I will unplug from this discussion... personal vendettas don't interest me. Not why I joined the groups...

Well, bickerstonehall is not willing to answer argumentative.
But insits on a link, what cannot exist,as each and every
    used postcard is unique.
So there is no point,in going on with that.

I very much hope Site Admin review this thread. For a member to call a buyer a 'fool' and tell that a seller is a 'crook' related to word 'crookery' is not what this forum is for.
