Your mother must of had every Christmas Stamp issued. lol

 

For a long time she was getting Christmas stamps on standing order, first from a guy in New York and later, a guy in Alabama. I think both of them exhausted their supply on her. I still have a lot to sell!

She originally wanted to be more stringent about what she collected and just collect Santa Claus on stamps, but I think she received so many stamps on approval in the mail that she just gave up and collected them all.

I have saved some of the more prolific countries for later as it just takes so much time to scan, upload and create the auctions.

I'm like Steve, though, I pretty much just sell enough to make some money to buy stamps or mounts or whatever. The stamps are not a huge moneymaker. I have done only slightly better with the stereoview cards which I was told by an antique dealer here in Grand Rapids, would sell for huge amounts of money. In the end, he knew very little, as they weren't even touched at the estate sale we had last year after my mother passed. I have had better luck on eBay.
