    Dear colleagues,
Can anybody tell me about this Hindenburg stamp? The stamp itself is nothing special. The question is about the bird (eagle?) seal on it. I have even contacted the Michel people, they could not clarify the issue. Unknown Hindenburg Postal Stamp.png

I've not seen it before, but it looks like it might be part of a pictorial or slogan cancel.

There are virtually thousands,if not ten-thousands of german
slogan and/or pictorial cancels. On stamps they are not very
much liked in Germany. In full on a cover,it is a different matter.
This stamp may have some curiosity-value: The "Reichs-Adler"
right in the face of president Hindenburg.

Thank you very much, Werner. The only question is the Eagle. You call it Reichs-Adler. For me, it does not look German because of the form of wings (Austrian, probably?) which may mean that the stamp was canceled not in Germany. Thank you again!

Thank you, Werner, you are right. The Eagle is German.
