Just acquired a stamp book and got stumped on the second page. Hopefully a few more difficult ones to follow.

The collector identified the first as Austria 1867 - not in my catalogue (Scott).

The second he's labelled Brunswick 1857. OK so they look like those but claim to hail from Espana!

    Any help here?

The first stamp appears to be the 1871 Hungarian stamp of King Franz Joseph.
The second stamp is indeed Spanish. It appears to be an 1872 Newspaper stamp.

The newspaper stamp makes sense. Shame it's not in my catalogue.

As for Franz Joseph, I agree it's the right image and the right era, but nowhere can I find that design in Scott, Michel nor SG...

The hungarian stamp is from the second issue of 1871.Michel no.10.
The second series Mi.nos.8-13 was printed by recess (engraved),shows more vivid colours, than the first Mi.1-6,printed by lithography.
The second issue is considerably cheaper, than the first.
Centering of both series is often poor.

Not collecting Spain,I can only show the mentioned stamps from
    Braunschweig (Brunswick):
