I sort of know what you mean Zee. I like stamps, I even like ugly stamps, but I still find some Ugly. I don't always dislike the stamp because it is ugly.
Totally a matter of taste, and that's just fine Overall, I'm not an affecionato of modern art either. That series just strikes me as fanciful and childlike (in a good way). Most modern art, esp. the really vague kind, doesn't appeal to me at all.
Right again! As stamp affecionados we all have a love for stamps. Most of us are loathe to call any of the them ugly, but we certainly know it when we see something that does comport with our personal taste. No matter how garish some of my stamps are, I am fond of them all.
I would go further Sarah and say it's a con. A million pound for a pile of bricks, just because they were put in the Tate. I am not fooled
Certainly is an interesting charicature of the Queen Mother. She looks like she is experiencing stomach complaints....or the like.
The queen certainly does not look good on that stamp. I wonder if this stamp was used for mails and if the queen has seen it.
I would wager she has one Zee. Most stamps are sent to the Queen gratis, she is rumoured to have the best stamp collection in the world
At least the Queen does not take things negatively and she was lucky to have the privilege to get great stamps.
