Hi, all! I ran across these Thurn and Taxis stamps. I know a lot of older stamps have forged versions. I have done research and from what I have seen, these seem to be legit. Hopefully I did not over look something. I am looking for opinions on what other think. Do these stamps look ok? If not, which ones? I thank you in advance.

    Hi Baker J,
I certainly can't give you a definitive answer, but I can say most if not all of them look legit to me. What I have heard about the Fournier forgeries is that they all have a mark on the back of the stamp and their crude appearance usually gives them away. I am not familiar with the other forgers. The World Forgery Catalogue 1998 has a reference guide to literature if you have access to a philatelic library. I'll post a couple of links for you to review. You know what they all say if the stamp is expensive have it expertized and certified genuine as a condition of purchase.

Hi, Hochstrasse. I have used the Album Weeds on these. There were no markings on the back and none of the Killers mentioned on the sites match what is listed. What is in the last link you posted is basically the same as the Album Weeds. I was just trying to make sure I didn't miss anything. Thank for your input! It is appreciated.
Link for the Album Weeds that I used...........

A nice lot with the usual acceptable faults.
The duplication of the 6 and 9 Kreuzer of the first issue could be types I
and II (can´t be seen on the scan).
Suspicious are the cancelled 15 and 30 Kreuzer second issue.
They and the others, what are cancelled much more expensive than
    mint,like 3 Silb.Gr.4th issue,could need expertising.
But a nice stock to begin with a T&T collection.

Thank you for that! I will see if there is someone local that can look them over and go from there.
