I'm actually surprised that any stamp would sell that high.

My Heavens! I wish I had it! Even though I love collecting stamps, I might have to sacrifice just one for that kind of money.

Thats the kind of thing I'm sure we're all praying we'll find stuck between pages in our collections! :-D

I would be scared to even own such a thing. Where would I keep it? what if there were a fire or a flood? It is fine to have valuable locked away in a vault somewhere, but stamps are something to behold and enjoy. I think I will stick to stamps that I can actually feel comfortable looking at without fear of damaging them.

Wow! That's very, very much for a stamp. Yeah, it may be a rare one, but it's just too expensive for a piece of paper, don't you think?

I am sure a nice copy of the genuine one is somewhere on the net.

Why not print a copy and frame it with the caption -

This is a reprint, my neighbour has the real one.

Applicable if you do not like your neighbours

Don't worry. You are not the only one whose budget won't allow that to become apart of the collection. I love stamp collecting but 20 million has gone too far. Do you know how many starving kids we can feed with that. Cool looking stamp though.

In a way I am glad that a stamp is worth this much :)
I mean, this is not a popular hobby, and seeing how stamps usage are declining now, stamps won't fare well in public and people will not held stamps in high regards.
    But this!
This is prove that stamps can be so valuable too!
    This makes me happy!

What is the difference between a $1 million and a $20 million stamp = $19 million
To the buyer of such a stamp, bless him or her - owning such would not change his or her lifestyl.

No, it was issued in 1856 well beyond lots of stamps. What makes it valuable is that it is believed to be the only surviving copy of this rare issue.

Let´s see if it really will be sold that expensive.
The interesting thing about that stamp is,that a number of experts have doubts
wether it is a genuine stamp or not.Obviously no printing records or any
post-official records of that stamp exist.

Yes, that is the big question, if someone would really spend that much on a stamp. :p

If it does sell for any amount, it definitely will not be for it's beauty!
I know, Taste is indisputable, but this piece of paper is butt-ugly.
Feed the poor in-need & indeed.
