I prefer the ones that you need to stick on instead of those printed on envelopes. The fact that it is printed on the envelope makes it appear to me like I can just make one myself. I really love those which I buy in the post office of each place or country that I visit. It's a good souvenir, but not very bulky to keep at home.
We do have the same preference but if I would have the chance to collect those really classic printed stamps, I will be very glad. What makes those printed stamps more collectible are the cancels and the overall cover standing.
The only reason I have used stamps printed on envelopes was for Art at school- they bring such a history, and therefore I used them as a background for pencil sketches of old people. However, I don't think stamps on envelopes are collectible at all.
There are some who really collect those covers with printed stamps. Not just sure if someone is collecting those that are cut outs already.
They are like just about everything else Collectable and yep even the cut outs are collected, I have a number in my own collection
Everything is 'collectible'. Some people see stamps, postcards etc as worth collecting, others see them as junk....the same way some people collect classic pop bottles others don't see why. Now you know these are worth keeping, you'll b e able to think before destroying them going forward.
I have heard quite a bit about this type of stamp but I wouldn't really regard this as a stamp as such.

I think that they make for collectibles. I would probably be interested in collecting something like that. You could make a collage out of something like that, so it sounds like a cool idea to me!
