Stamp Press

After soaking the stamps and blotting them dry what is the best way to flatten the stamps?

Does anyone use a "stamp press"? I was thinking about making my own press but if there is a better way I would like to try it.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Me I wait until they are dry then place between 2 sheets of paper and weigh down with books, works fine for me

 

I also use heavy books to flatten stamps.

 

I use 18lb paper that has very little "brightner" in it. Cardboard on top and bottom and heavy books also. I once used ultrabright computer paper Bright=98, and noticed that some of the drying stamps would fluoresce a little when they shouldn't.
