I'm pleased to announce that our new Stamp Dealer Directory is now open. It is well integrated into the forum and open for customers of the stamp dealers to post reviews. I've pre-loaded it with several hundred stamp dealers, but welcome any new additions. I'm sure I haven't added every stamp dealer (apologies, those I forgot). Please let me know via a reply to this post, a private message, email, whatever, if you know of one that needs to be added. The dealer directory has several purposes, among them is allowing a place for stamp dealers to advertise to the community here. Each directory listing can be "claimed" by the owner or a representative of the company. I'm working on several ways to do a verification to prevent any shenanigans with that. It is also open to reviews by customers. To preserve the integrity of the directory, I ask that only those who have actually transacted with a dealer post a review. We will not exercise editorial control over the content of a review, but I do suggest sticking to the facts. For example, a statement such as "the stamps were exactly as advertised, well packaged and delivered very quickly" is much better than "this guy rocks." Or, "The stamps were as advertised but in an unprotected envelope and delivered very slowly" works better than "this guy sucks." Let's make this a resource worth visiting! I'm also very open to suggestions on how to improve!
