I'm new to stamp collecting and was wondering if there is any books about it. That contains information for beginners.
Hi Martin: Having been a collector for many years, the books I have on collecting are quite old, but, yes, there are lots of how-to-collect-stamps books. You haven't said where you live, but I am assuming in the U.S. That being the case, I suggest a visit to your local library and do a catalog search for "Stamp Collecting." I'll bet that would turn up a bunch to check out. Don
Greetings Martin, To put a person in the Philatelic 'Mood', I couldn't recommend any book higher than Hearst's 'Nassau Street'. It speaks of collecting days of yore, but great reading, none the less. I paid $5 for my used hardback copy off eBay, I think. Enjoy, Harry
I took a quick look at Amazon and found a relative bargain. Although the book is used it does come at the right price.
