you may add a little baking soda to the newspaper. Would certainly help. I never thought of that before...go figure huh? :p

  2. But i think adding baking soda might ruin the ink on the stamp, or make it smelly

no it wouldn't hurt them. just don't apply it directly to them but in a little tray in the box with them.

  4. Ok, I will remember to do that when I get any smelly stamps. Also, shouldn't the guy who bought these smelly stamps get a discount for the smelliness.

I got them at a super cheap price. They were all $0.01 to $0.15 each. Shipping was also combined so it was only like $1.25 or so for 65 stamps. Since I also smoke, I didn't want to make it a big issue or anything. :p

  6. Oh, okay. Then it's alright. One cent per stamp is really good, even 15 cents is pretty cheap. Can you also use these stamps that you bought?

How'd you make out with these Mike?

  8. I'm guessing the stamps are still going through the process. I am confident that this will solve his problem.

You don't say whether they're used or unused stamps, but for the price you paid I assume they're used. I don't think you'd want to soak unused stamps in any liquid that would remove the gum.

Indeed the baking soada as extra bowl in a confined space with the stamps for a while should do the trick.

This may not have been smoke at all, lol but the container may have attracted cat and peed his marker. Now that is a challenge and reason to barfed (like that expression - never heard of it before)

So Mike, what results have you ?
