It would seem somewhere around about $118.00 U.S.D. That's a little pricey but I love that thing. Has anyone ever used one?
here is what it looks like.

i bought one several years ago, and to be honest petrol on a black back ground works better, mine is sat on the side, if you want it i can post it to you, may be worth a few stamps in exchange, let me know

Jay, from what I have heard and read, its not good at detecting watermarks on the Washington/Franklin stamps. Just a heads up.

some other company makes 1 that costs around $300-$400. I've heard that it works better with the older US than the SG one. The last auction I went to one used sold for $110.

indeed! I still have a pile I can't ID correctly yet. I'll get them but it'll take some doing. I guess there is a way to do it using a histogram with a scanner and there are detailed instructions on how to do it but I'll have to dig it up and post it as it may be very useful for some.

Here is one but you must email me for the other link (if that too is allowed) as it is on another forum but it is extremely helpful but not sure if I am allowed to post it on here or not..

I apologize if that is a no-no if it is mods you may remove with no hard feelings. I suppose I could copy & paste and download all the pics 1 by 1 and re-assemble on here if all else fails.
