Top right side of stamp well aged ,appears to be strait at top but hard to tell cut off at bottom up to top line of wavy cancel, proper 1908 date. will let the experts decide this one.
Hi Richard, It's my opinion it is not a 321. A 321 is a type 1 and this example appears to be a type 2.
The scan of the stamp is much to small to examine the right side of it. To me it looks like a mutilated booklet-stamp. Perhaps the thread and similiar ones would be better placed under "United States Stamps".
Hochsttrasse Thank you but it is a type one, sorry i should have scanned it better. It is likely a common stamp the 319 . Werner, Thank you. I have matching covers with same logo and name on it, they have booklet panes on them maybe this is a booklet pane.
It is of course no booklet pane, but a single stamp from a pane. It is a point, where I never understood Scott catalogues: they do list the panes, but not single stamps from panes,at least in the general catalogues.I think very few of the better booklet panes exist in genuinely used condition. However used single stamps from booklet panes are much more common.Needles to say, that six single stamps from a booklet usually are worth less than the complete pane. So,why not list the singles ? Michel does !
