Post Crossing and Che Guevara (new Ireland stamps)

    new stamps issued on 5th October
    PostCrossing (one stamp at international rate) and two unstamped postcards also produced.
    50th Anniversary of Death of Che stamp at national rate (pic shows the First Day Cover and a postcard based on photograph I took about three years ago CheEx.jpg ,

    Very interesting; thanks for sharing! I forgot Che's Irish connection, though I have two movies about him and a photograph of him playing chess.

    Yes the iconic image is by Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick who met Che in Ireland in 1961.

    FitzjamesHorse Active Member He does a lot of Celtic designs.
    A lot of people think my name might be James Fitzpatrick or Fitzgerald etc but FitzjamesHorse was the name of an 18th century Franco-Irish cavalry regiment.
