I visited a friend of mine last weekend. She shared some of her amazing collection of stamps mostly from the Philippines. I think its awesome that for so many years, she managed to keep the stamps. Some of them no longer exist today. Check some of her stamps below ;)

Great looking stamps! I see a few American stamps (some "Prexies" and a modern "Love" series stamp) and a couple Spanish (Spain) issues However, I'm very unfamiliar at best with Philippine issues. I wish I could be of more help. Welcome! The board has been a bit slow lately I believe but no-matter stick around I'm sure things will pick-up again. -Jay

Nice to see that I am not the only one who had placed some of her stamps in a photo album. LOL :p
Those stamps are really good looking and just have few or some of those in my own collection.

Well of course if by that you mean they are old and out of issue. Is that what you meant by chance?

Below is a very old stamp which dates back to when the Philippines was a commonwealth of the United States. The man in the stamp is Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippine's national hero :)

Jay, it would certainly look Spanish because the Philippines is a former colony of Spain for more than 300 years. The customs and traditions of the Philippines originated from Spain. Spanish influence still exist until today :)
