While some of here are obviously dedicated, long-time collectors, I'd like to make an offer to those people new to collecting, or to collecting U.S. stamps. The first 10 people who send me their request (use the "inbox/conversations" option) and address will be the potentially happy recipients of a randomly selected 100 U.S. stamps from the mid- to late- 20th c. No questions, no expected trades, just 100 stamps.

Don't get discouraged, the site is still new and I'm sure when we start picking up traffic from places like Google there will be people lining up for a chance like this.

I just made up the packets. Lots of 3c & 4c commemorative, some newer (13c & 15c) commemorative, and some regular issues too. I didn't get to any airmails or postage due, but if anyone would like either, I could make a substitution.

The problem here is that we are all shall I say established collectors and not realy starting out, with the exception of possibly a couple LOL

That's all right; I'm patient, sort of, and I'm hoping that the description will draw in a couple of new people. I know, it's a subversive thing to do, but...

Thanks for replying in my trade "My US Collection" and that's make me aware of this thread.
I am not new in collecting stamps but I knew little in terms of identifying them "professionally" since I collect all stamps and not a certain collection. Will happy to receive more US stamps, I will PM you. ;)

Two down! And there's a new bonus, courtesy of ratio411: a 2c Columbian in every packet!

I should send you some air mails and postage due as well. I have hundreds of duplicates, maybe thousands of some of the postage dues.
I'd like to see some of those get out to people that need them.

Jay, I got your "conversation," and yes, I'll be happy to send a couple of packets your way.
ratio411, I'd be happy to include anything you send my way.

Also, so it's clear, I inherited the bulk of my collection and as of the moment I only really have newer USA issues to trade. If that's OK. I hope to have the "hoard fairy" visit me soon and then it'll be ON!! lol OK that's all. haha

it is not a problem, enjoy getting your collection up, rather than worry about trading.
the trading fairy will be along after ;)
