Possibly a Malay state? Johore, cancellation may be "johor bahru". I do not have a catalogue here. Text appears to be in Arabic and Chinese.

    Regards, James.

Hello Dick, first let me welcome you to the forum. Please let us know what you collect and where in the world you are based?

This morning I managed to find my Scott DVD and found that it was similar to the A7 design showing Sultan Ibrahim but did not find the 6c value. I then searched Colnect for Sultan Ibrahim and found this.

Then back to Stamp exchange to find that you had beaten me to the solution, well done.

I look forward to more input from you and to seeing some of your collection.

    Regards, James.

Hi James, and thanks. I'm in Southern California, and I collect almost any stamps that take my fancy! I'm currently collecting early Ghana (1957-)

Possibly the most common stamp Britain has ever issued.
Exists with three different watermarks issued between 1952 and 1958,all of them extremely common.
Either your scan is of a miserable quality or your stamp is
    discoloured.The original colour is a strong carmesin-red.
The shown stamp is in such a bad state, that the only proper
place for it is the waste bin.

Hello Fishmonk, there are large number of varients to the "Wilding" 2½ d pre-decimal penny stamp. They were in use up until our change to Decimal currency in 1971.
