Very nice selections especially of the Great Americans series! That top gold plated stamp was sold by a TV vendor years back called the Postal Commemorative Society and they usually came with the actual stamp and usually on cover and sometimes even on a F.D.C. (I may have an example running around here somewhere) These were market to the Gold Stamp Replica Collectors (if there is such a thing?). I thought them interesting and these came to me in an off lot I purchased some time ago and just couldn't quite bring myself to toss it in the bin...lol I'll scan it and post in a bit for ya! Thank you for showing us! OK I found them! here you go- This one obviously didn't come with the actual stamp. I was sort of upset about that! -lol
Hey as a side note- where did you ever find those neat little pages? I sort of like them as I bet they'd be quite handy.
Irene, on the scan that has the most stamps on it, the stamps displayed on a white background there is a stamp in the 2nd row with the words Electric Auto 1917. It is a blue design on white background and at the bottom there is a small plate number. Can you tell me what plate number this is?
