My stamps and theyr Scott numbers

I am trying to understand the Scott's catalogu and how to use it.

This is a stamp i can not find in it, altough i can find it in a blue color in the catalogue, but it does not say anything about the red one (or i am missing something)


Here are the stamps i sorted so far.
The white number under the stamps are the Scott's numbers as i could find them.
I am not sure they are all right, so whoever wants to check it for me, please do so and inform me where i am wrong with it

your airmail is a 1960 C60 7c Carmine

there is no image of it in the album, but the notes under the 7c blue point you in the right direction

I found the blue one in the book, but not the red one.
Offcourse i was looking for red and not for carmine

Sometimes i forget that i need to look further than the mength of my nose

 

The scott catalog shows most United States stamps, it gets trickier with other countries and the Scott catalog.

It is a hardcopy.
Is there an online version to?
I am using volume 1 from the 2008 edition.
I have been told that is the one i need for US stamps

 

Oh okay, I don't know really if there is an online version . I think I have some us stamps that you have, i'll just copy the scott number you inputted.

I have the 2009 set and volume 1 is the US section

 

I found two mistakes, can you find them?

 

Row 2 stamp 5 should be 1393

 

row 3 stamp 4 should be 717

They produced the catalogues on DVD until 2009 and just released an iPad/iPhone version throught the apple app store.

 

For US postage stamps Scotts is far better than SG in IMO, as SG are far more informative for GB and commonwealth stamps

 

Thank you Jace, I wonder if that DVD version is available here in our country Philippines. As for iPad/iPhone, I don't have that gadgets though. Can it be downloaded on computers instead?
