Country: France Series: Marianne in the boat Catalog codes: Yt:FR 1216, Mi:FR 1259, Sn:FR 927, AFA:FR 1274 Themes: Sailing Ships | Ships Issued on: 1959-07-25 no mention of type II ? seen many secondary types harder to figure out
There are no two different types ! The stamp is bi-coloured: grey-black and orange-brown. Both colours were printed seperately. If the sheet was not fixed exactly at the second printing, the two parts are shifted against each other. Such shifts can look quite spectacular, but are accidential and are not catalogued. When you look at your stamps, you can see that shift nicely at the 25. In another post I will show an example of such a shift.
Here the pomised example of a rather spectacular shift of the blue colour: Ceylon 1966,normal stamp and pair with shifted blue. I wonder if any of the English speakers knows a translation for the german philatelic terminus technicus "Passverschiebung". I could not find any and therefore use "colour-shift".
Hello all, "colour-shift" is a good description of the problem, in the printing world it is known as colour plane registration (CPR). When either the printing plate/drum or the paper is not in the correct registration. A roughly similar problem occurs when perforations are misaligned. Regards, James.
Issued in 9th March, 2017 by Spanish Andorra under Andorrian artists. Though it looks like made of cloth material it is not so, but the shape of the MS is odd.

Now a days selfies are very popular. Swiss post issued an Silver foil Selfie stamp under the title Letter Vs Email on 7th September 2017. (The scanner couldn't able to reflect the beauty of the stamp. The stamp is silver in colour and it reflects the image of the viewer.)
