It makes me so angry to see the above stamps !
Not that I think that PdotK should not collect such stamps,no by no means !
As a youngster I collected mainly Austria and Germany.Austria then
had the far better stamps by artitistic design and printing quality,
than Germany. In the late 90´s a new management took over and
from then on "popular" thematics were preferred, followed by
    gimmicks,like the ones shown above.
The result is,that many collectors stopped buying Austrian stamps
at all.Today they sell about 1/10 of what was sold before they
went "popular".However by value they sell more, because the face-
values were increased enormoursly.I just wonder for what
    postal purpose a € 6.30 stamp may be used for.Probably a 250 g
registered letter to Usbekistan ? But of course the use of such
products is not wanted.(I wonder wether a glas-stamp is compatible to the rules of the UPU,because it may break and hurt postal
    employes.)
It is a pity to experience such a decline in taste and decency.

    Tonga stamps are tempting me.

Any one here know, whether Tonga post has any online shop? Dealers in India are very costly usually I prefer to get my philatelic materials through swap or direct from the online post shop.

And yes! Bhutan has issued many beautiful unusual stamps, I contacted them once, they asked me to do the money transfer to the postal staff. Its hard to transfer money from India to Bhutan, even western union is not transferring money to Bhutan.

    Thanks

I have a very good friend from Austria. Though he is not a serious collector, he follows my blog and constantly contribute Austrian stamps to my collection. Compared to other countries my Austrian odd and unusual stamps collection is rich. May God bless him with long, happy and successful life.

So, today I would like to share some more embroidery stamps.

Issued by Austria post in 19th July 2005.
