Hi Friends! I am a Odd and Unusual stamps collector. I would like to share some of my collections here. Thanks PdotK
Let me start with Armenia Apple shaped stamp. Below you can see the backside of the Miniature sheet. The World Stamp Show was held in New York from May 28th to June 4th, 2016. There were around 50 countries and more than 100 philatelic association participated in this event. To commemorate this event many countries issued stamps, Special covers and Souvenirs. Armenia's HAYPOST participated in this event and issued two souvenir sheets, one for the New York stamp show and the other one for the Rio Olympics. New York is fondly called as the Big Apple. HAYPOST aptly issued an apple shaped stamp.
Alderney issued a miniature sheet made of 100% pure cotton in the year 2014 and it has become the first European Nation to issue a stamp on cotton. The M/S contains some portions of 58 scenes of Tapestry showing the Norman conquest of England, including the Battle of Hastings. The MS is shown below and the MS is coming along with a Certificate of Authenticity with unique number for each MS. The MS is being displayed at the Bayeux Tapestry Museum to celebrate the special collection of Alderney stamps (in the museum).
Hello pdotk, first may I welcome you to the forum, as you have already answered my usual questions [your location and your main collecting interest] I look forward to seeing some input from you and seeing some more of your collection. Regards, James.

Hello JCG - Carlin, welcome back to the forum, I've not seen you for a while. I do not collect odd shape stamps as a theme, but I do have a reasonably large number of them depicting butterfles, fans, fruit, maps etc. Some of these have been shown in other threads. Regards, James.
Thanks for your kind words James, Carlin and Harry. James I don't have both UK sets, will keep my eyes open for these beautiful set.
To go with the flow (Puzzle theme), here comes Austria post's MSs. Austria post issued the above 4 piece jigsaw puzzle stamps on 14th October 2013. The above 4 piece jigsaw puzzle Easter Bunny Miniature sheet was issued by Austria post on 7th March 2015. The above Christmas 4 piece jigsaw puzzle Miniature sheet was issued by Austria post on 11th November 2016. Austria post issued the above Happy Birthday 4 piece puzzle MS on 4th March 2017. I think I am missing only one Puzzle MS of Austrian issue, hope will get it soon. Thanks PdotK
Next is my favourite 3D stamp. Hong Post has issued 3D stamp on the theme "Weather Phenomena" on 27th March 2014. This 3D stamp sheetlet bears the satellite image of trajectory typhoon Vicente when it approached Hong Kong in July 2012. Typhoon Vicente with gale-force winds and rain, shuttering much of the city and injuring at least 129 people caused the Hong Kong city to raise its strongest typhoon warning for the first time in 13 years. Its hard to show the 3D stamps beauty through images, so please visit my blog to witness the real beauty of the stamp. http://philateli.blogspot.in/2014/05/3d-stamp-hong-kong.html
Hello pdotk, you may be interested in a theme posted last year? Lenticular printing on stamps Unfortunately lenticular images do not show up too well on scans although the 3d or multi-image effects can be extremely good. Regards, James.
Hello PdotK, as a collector of odd shape stamps you might consider Tonga as a source. I believe that they produced hundreds of "Peel & Stick Stamps" including this banana shaped one. Date of issue: 1972-09-30 Image from the web. Regards, James.
Seeing such "beautiful" stamps,I congratulate myself for ending my Austria collection with the introduction of the Euro-currency.
Hi James! Thanks! It's really nice one, is it scented too? Yes Tonga has issued many nice unusual stamps, I am looking for sources to exchange, would like to add them in the future. PdotK
