    columbus spike.jpg Recovered by Sir Robert F Marx in the early 60's,from St.Ann's bay Jamaica, Partial Bronze spike from Columbus's Santiago sunk in 1504. His last voyage of discovery. I'm a bit of a history buff.

    Hello James, the "Endeavour" was known locally as a "Whitby cat" (from Whitby of course, where Cook was from) for its stability and dependability. She had a shallow draft, which helped when stuck on the Great Barrier Reef in 1770.
