I remember that for ages it was thought that they were extinct. Then, in the 70's I think, one was caught off the coast of Africa.

Yes and they are still there, very shy and keeping to a certain depth and rocky reefs.

I've heard of the two Tuna's before, but never heard of a Trevally and a Diana. Thanks for sharing.

    First really nice stamps Z.

I used to do a "VISA run" every 90 days, IE. go to another country then re-enter Thailand for a new Visa entry. I usually took an overnight bus journey south to the nearest border crossing with Burma (Myanma) arriving at the departure pier at about 6am. Next door were the fish piers, I would wander around, take photo's. I didn't realise how big tuna were, some were more than 2.5 metres (8 feet) in length.

A little info from the web:
    1. Thunnini (Tuna) comprises fifteen species across five genera, the sizes of which vary greatly, ranging from the bullet tuna (max. length: 50 cm (1.6 ft), weight: 1.8 kg (4 lb)) up to the Atlantic bluefin tuna (max. length:4.6 m (15 ft), weight: 684 kg (1,508 lb)).
    Regards, James.

The currency was printed/written uniquely (s/b $1.50 right?) or it was an error?
