Richard,not being a "in depth" collector of US-stamps,I would appreciate some information about the envelopes you are showing. To me they look like "every-day" use,without much significance. But,I guess,this is due to my ignorance.
Yes I just received 230 covers with nice cancels. I have-not had much time to research them my self but will fill the blanks as I can. I dont know much about the cancels myself lol
I purchased this lot to add to my shifted train collection and my 231 broken hat collection shifted boat, And it has a added bonus of a c3 First flight cut corner
What im looking or is scott 231 broken hat with a line out the left side of the outer lower boarder. Im also working on all the positions of the train scott 295, they are all rare on cover so far Its like finding a scott 231 on cover with a broken framline and a broken hat rareer then the jenning
These covers were gifts to me and my children from the Canadian Aerophilateic Society, Presented to me at our club. I miss going. The children are all grown up now, my daughter was the youngest member at age 5. It was a lot of fun especially at auction night my daughter held her had up for every item the members were bidding and others said hay give dad a break his pockets aren't that deep let her win. lol
I think I might return this to a full cover. Any thoughts about that? Id keep this like it is but cut an old not used envelope the match it lightly past the cut edges to gather address it and scan and print on back of envelope the first flight cancel. on inner flap write as forgery. Or just leave it as it is a cut piece.
Sounds like a lot of work. I'd leave it alone. However, if you do the cut and paste job, I'd like to see the end product. Don
