Michel Germany does not list such "stamps".
But they are listed in Michel Deutschland-Spezial volume I at the very
    end of the catalogue.
There they also mention two books:
    "Gezähnte Kriegspropaganda",handbook and catalogue
    by Joachim Hosang
    and
"Forged Stamps of Two World Wars" by L.N.& M.Williams,London.

By the way the "Himmler Stamps" are listed in the Michel-Spezial
    for € 1200.- (type I) and € 400.- (type II),for mint,n.h.
    Exist also imperforated,from proof-sheets.
No price for used ones,as all known cancelled ones, without
    any doubt,are cancel-forgeries.
But still some people pay a lot of money to get fooled.

This should keep me busy for a while. Decided to start working on a Chile collection. So, I ordered a lot of miscellaneous stamps, partial collections, etc. Several hundred stamps and about a dozen sheets. Included general postage, revenue, air mail, postage due, etc. Should be fun.

FR-MERC50c.jpg I received this purchase recently It's a France Mercury 50 centimes Pair, MiNr3 with a German Occupation overprint Dunkerque - Coudekerque Nordfrankreich.

Doesn't look like an overprint to me, a box cancel instead, possibly a slogan cancel? Maybe Werner will see it and give us a translation.

The cancel says "besetztes Gebiet Nordfrankreich" which translated means occupied area North France. I concur about it being a box slogan.

    This could be a occupation stamp for Dünkirchen (Dunkerque,Dunkirk) from 1940.(10+10 C.,Mi.no.7,priced € 2500.- for mint n.h.)
Could be,because all stamps without a "solid" certificate have to be considered as forgeries.
There are two types of overprint:
Type I,rounded frame (as shown),produced in Dünkirchen
Type II rectangular frame, produced in Coudekerque-Branche
Of the above type of overprint about 20 different exist all in pairs.
A few more were overprinted in type II.
There are also about 20 large size commemoratives with overprint
Type II.All are expensive in the reign of a few hundred to about
one-thousand Euros for the "more common" ones.
The stamps were issued by the german military commander Dünkirchen.
However the french population was allowed to let overprint all still
valid stamps of France in their possesion.
So all in all more than 200 different stamps are known.
In my opinion very much a philatelic inspired issue !

Bj Slusarczyk, the original poster, and Werner are correct. This is an overprint. I dug out my old (1982) Michel catalog and this box hand stamp is shown in two types, Type l with rounded top left and top right corners (the type posted above) and Type ll with squared corners. Below is a scan of the page listing these overprints. The stamp in question is number 7, type l.

    Hi Don,
Just like your scan from the 1982 Michel my 2004 Specialized Michael shows the same thing. What Werner is saying about the amount of forgeries that abound in this particular issue and a certification of authenticity being paramount would be the primary concern. I do see differences between the catalog and the stamps shown with the overprint.

After having seen Don Sellos´scan of the Michel page,I have scanned
the actual pages of the Michel Deutschland Junior 2020:
    a a0001.jpg
    a b.jpg
    a c0001.jpg a d0001.jpg
    a f0001.jpg
These pages are not from the Michel Spezial, but from the simplified
    Junior-Catalogue !
I bought the Michel-Junior 2020 last year.I needed it to get an oversight of the new issues,I had missed during our time in Paraguay.
    It was then € 9.95.
The 2022 issue is € 15.-.Quite some rise within two years !
But still cheaper than the general catalogue "Germany",what is € 59.80.
But that´s still a bargain compared to Germany Specialised ( in two
    volumes) what is € 184.- !
