... and I would like to obtain, by means of trade any stamp depicting a crown as a main theme.
I have lots of Yugoslavia and serbia stamps, as well as world stamps to offer in return, on the 1for1 basis.
    Thanks

Hello Makanudo, I may be wrong but I think you may have problems finding stamps with the main theme as Crowns. The only ones that I can think of are the "Three Crowns" of Sweden and the Crown and Posthorn series also from Sweden.

there are many thousands of stamp designs that include a crown, almost any monarch's head below a crown.

Will someone will take the challenge and prove me wrong?

    Regards James.

    James,
You are probably 99% right on this matter, but on the other hand, I figured its better to have a small collection - more valuable than extensive one.
I got inspiration from one serbian, current stamp series....
Do you have some extras of the stamps you showed here?
    Thanks

I had forgotten about some of these, I have them of course in my UK collection. The Staffa card? I have not seen before.
For Makanudo, I do not have direct access to my UK collection, so cannot trade.
    Regards, James.

Maybe you can consider those stamps with crowns on a person like beauty queens stamps and also on some religious figures. :)

Looking at the 50th Anniversary page again: I have been to Edinburgh and Holyrood House and Stirling castles many times... surprised the latter is not on this page???

Pleasant little pub on St. James... Jester's Court or Court Jester... Just a little way down the hill from the castle. Been a little while since I have been there, but I go there every time I am in Scotland. Wife and her sister want to go this next summer and I will probably get the tickets to make that happen...

Postscript: I have a business card from that pub... it is/was called the Jolly Judge...

Hello SATX, I've not been for a while but I think St., James is nearly all shopping centre now, The Jolly Judge is on the Royal mile, Castle Hill and very close to Camera Obscura. I think Camera Obscura and World of Illusions may be worth a couple of hours visit, a bit like an indoor fairground with panoramic views of Edinburgh.
    Regards, James.

You are quite right: there are very few stamps
showing crowns as main theme, but still there are some.Unfortunately I have no scanner to show
    them.The oldest I have are from Denmark.All
    issues,except one,from 1851 to 1864 show a crown
    over swords.
    A nice one is from Hannover,issued imperf.1860
and rouletted 1864,(I have the latter only),showing
    a crown and a posthorn.
Aquite similar motive was issued in Hungary 1871 as
    a newspaper-stamp.Slightly different reissued in
1872.I do not collect Hungary, but there are several stamps showing the St.Stephan´s crown till the
    monarchy was abolished in 1945.
Spain issued in 1872,1873 and 1877,(the latter was printed again and again till about 1920) stamps of
4/4 of a Cent. Each quater Cent could be used seperately.Again not my country.
From Austria the five lowest values of the 1916
    defintives show the imperial crown.
From Liechtenstein there are two sets of service
stamps form 1950 and 1968 showing the Princes
    Crown.
Liechtenstein also issued a commemorative in 1971
and there is also one from Germany, issued 1988.
Apart from the classical issues I like most the
1957 defintive series of 12 from Nepal. It shows the
Nepalese Kings Crown, what looks quite different from the crowns,we know from Europe.

Interesting to see how crowns on other countries differ from each other. :)
