Interesting Rwanda Stamp

    Didn't notice this until I scanned it, but this Rwanda stamp has a couple of interesting things going on.

    First, the denomination "10" is overprinted on a very faint denomination of "20".

    Secondly the "Republique Rwandaise" is overprinted on some very faint white text that I can't quite make out. I've done some Googling and I've seen it for sale for very little money so it isn't anything scarce, just interesting.

    Hello Gunny, your stamp is overprinted in two layers, first in pale-blue or Silver? to obliterate the original text then in black. The original value was 20 c
    In Colnet it is listed as ... RW-U 206 (Ruanda-Urundi) with overprint.
    This was done to many of their stamps. The 30c version is o/p on 1.50 F (RF)

    that's interesting and how cheap it looks as if they ran out of paper and had to use the old one to print over the new but luckily there's an explanation for everything.
