My stamps are not very expensive, so I only paid $10 for my most expensive stamp. For me, unless it's a stamp I really want, or a rare one, it doesn't worth the money, so I usually don't pay too much for them. I can do something better with the money than buy a common stamp. What about you?
Most of my quite expensive stamps are only given so I am very thankful for that. The most I have spend for a single stamp is $2+, I bought it from a local shop here.
Woah, lucky you! Well, my grandma gave me some really old stamps, which is actually nice. Enjoy them!
I have not payed more than ten cents for a stamp in my collection, but I am sure I have stamps that are worth much more than that. Most of the stamps that I have acquired in recent time has been from the post office and are generally cartoons.
It was upwards of $700 (Columbians) and many at $300+ (pre-Scott 200) but I would still be willing to pay a couple of grand for a SUPERB set of Grafs.
i have paid in dollars, pounds, rupees all over the world to improve my collection. But i do not buy single stamps. warm wishes.
Patience...waited a long time to find the right ones and the right prices...a good investment of my time and efforts.
Just noticed your signature block... do you collect perfins? I have a few I got in some kiloware and know that I will probably never use them.
I do. I just recently began and awaiting my new catalog. Never too old to learn new tricks. I decided to expand my horizons.
Will get a few pics and send them over to you... may take a couple of weeks as I am ordering a new microscope/camera for just that purpose. Talk with you soon.
I've got a bunch because I haven't collected them, so now that I've decided to expand my collection, it opens a whole new avenue. In most cases, it seems they are also the cheapest...so I can keep the cost down and still have lots of time to spend enjoying it!
Thank you, Its a shame in this day and age I must keep them in a bank vault box and cannot look at more than a picture I have to relish. LOL
