I love these stamps. They are so different and unique, the bugs so beautiful also. The pictures of the bugs on the stamps are so intricate and defined you can see every detail.
How about stamp depicting Insects, Lepidoptera or Arachnids... Will dig through mine as I know I have a large number from various countries... stay tuned!
Hello all, I think that "He" was a "She" of the "femorata" beetles (Big thighs) but I have not found the precise name of the species. I know that it is not Sagra Femorata because they say that the maximum size is only 20mm (⅞"). I should have photographed her with a coin for comparison, I'll know better if we meet again. Hello all, some more beautiful Thai insects Date of issue: 1989-11-15 2 Baht. Catacanthus incarnatus, (man faced stink bug) Look at it from the 8o/c position. 3 Baht. Aristobia approximator, beetle in the Longhorn family. This species grows to 36mm. (1 ⁷/₁₆") 6 Baht. Chrysochroa chinensisa, a Jewel beetle or Metallic wood-boring beetle of the Buprestidae family. 32-48mm. 10 Baht. Enoplotrupes sharpi, a rhinoceros beetle (a scarab or earth boring dung beetle) 32-48mm. Regards, James.
