I have used the Davo hingeless albums in the past and they are economical and look really great. When I sold my collection at a Spink/Shreves suction, I believe the album helped the collection to sell for a better price than if it had been diplayed and formatted in a less attractive album.

    John:

I think you are correct. Your collection must have been a fine one to be offered in a Spink/Shreves auction and to use a hingeless album implies, to me anyway, better quality stamps. I don't need a hingeless album because I collect mostly cheaper used stamps. However, if I collected more expensive mint stamps I might consider one.

WOW! What an interesting subject to draw such a great number of responses.
    My 2ยข:
I recently began collecting MNH FSAT/TAAF (French Antarctic Territories) and found a 2 post Pavo/Davo hingeless album lightly used w/ slipcase for 50$.
It contained places for all Airmail Stamps & ended regular issues @ 1998. I since ordered Davo blank pages to fit album 10/$20 (For plate blocks, FDC, or any related material not pictured) To complete the regular issues I've special ordered from Pavo pages ($80.00) bringing
the regular issues up & through 2001. For my taste this was the perfect time to end collecting FSAT/TAAF, as this is when their currency changed from the French Franc to the Euro.
Really not unlike my MNH British Commonwealth Collection which I have set collecting just stamps dated 1840-1970.
