Hi there, I am new here but really enjoy this forum ever since I have came across it. When I was younger I collected stamps and I loved all the different colors and images that stamps have. The more stamps I had from different countries, the more it excited me. Unfortunately, I had given my stamp book away when I became a teen and have not collected any more stamps BUT I married my husband who is a stamp collector and therefore my passion for stamps is still there. I love to discover stamps that are unique and to find out the stories behind them. I also look forward to exchanging thoughts about stamps in here!
Hello again sahara1981... knowing your husband collects and that you once did, are you going to start again? Maybe just a topical or two? Good luck and keep active in the forums... maybe you can pick up a few stamps for your husband's collection.
Hi there SATX Collector, thanks for your response. That is a good question. I think I might start to collect again once I have more time for it. And then I think I would focus on those that come from exotic countries, such as Asia, Indonesia, Africa and Middle East. I have visited and studied about these regions and therefore have some cultural knowledge that will help to understand the stories behind the stamps more better. Oh, I will definitely check here if there is a stamp my husband would like. So far, I have seen so many beautiful ones on here which is really inspiring!
