..I'll get straight to the point..I found this one in one of my old albums and realising I know nothing about it, further online queries yielded no result. Not even with Google Googles.. :D
..so any info will be much appreciated..
    ..thx y'all.. ;)

    Welcome Norrin
Hmmm, I don't collect US, but it seems like a piece cut from an embossed postal card? Some bright person will come up with your answer soon. Glad to have you on board.

Hello Norrin, welcome to the forum. We have a number of well informed American collectors who I'm sure will be able to identify your embossed stamp.
    Regards, James.

Welcome! I am not a collector of cut squares and I'm not really good with envelope shades so I'll give you the possibilities. From the design and color it has to be design U71. That makes it either a U311, U312, U313, U315 or U317 depending on whether the envelope is white paper, amber, oriental buff, manila or amber manila respectively. It really doesn't look like white paper or amber paper to me so I would tend to think it is either oriental buff or manila. Perhaps someone else can nail it down better.

I am quite sure that is white paper. It is a U311.
