Hi, I've just joined the Stamp Exchange and look forward to learning and hopefully contributing here. My main interest in stamp collecting are the United States classic stamps. My special interest is in the Civil War Era and Confederate issues and covers. I also like to collect stampless covers prior to 1847. Finding an old letter and trying to decipher and understand their old handwriting is a challenge and a lot of fun. It is a great way to understand how people lived in the past. John Parks

Howdy and welcome to StampExchange! We have a wide variety of interests here and actually quite a brain trust in some of the older members. I collect some classic USA - the Blackjack and the large banknotes. Indeed, stamps are a wonderful window into the past!
