    Hi David:

Welcome to the Exchange. I collect WW also, mostly used with Scott as my catalog. Feel free to post some images of your collection and favorite stamps, and comment on collecting as you see it.
  3. I know one thing its certainty more expensive to purchase stamps than it was 15 years ago :-(. In the coming weeks I will post some pics as most of my collection us in stock books.

Worldwide huh? Any specialization? Europe? Asia? Africa? Latin America? Mint? Used ?

If using the SG catalog, I am assuming you're extant to the US? If you want to send me your snail mail address, I'll send you 100 or so used foreign stamps of a country of your choice, not to exceed the 1 oz US limit on 1st class overseas.
  9. Hi Larry
I have rather a large worldwide collection all in stock books right from A-Z. I have a rather good collection of us stamps which I use the Scott catalogue, as I find it more useful than the SG catalogue. I don't concentrate on any particular area, I just literally collect worldwide. If its at the right price I tend to purchase them. I appreciate the kind offer of stamps, but at the moment I am swamped with stamps, as I went on a bit of a spending spree, but thank you .

  11. Hello everybody
Can anyone recommend a good USA stamp catalogue other than S.G and Scott's?
    Many thanks

    Hi David:

I can't think of any U.S. catalog more complete or descriptive of U.S. stamps than Scott's Specialized. A few dealers offer their own catalog, Mystic, I believe is one. The problem with catalogs other than Scotts is their numbering system. Scott has a copyright on its system and won't allow other publishers to use it without compensation and stamp dealers identify their offerings only by Scott number.

The U.S. Postal Service used to publish its own catalog. It now appears to be called a guide. Here's a link to the current postal service catalog:

I can't recommend it because I have never seen a copy.

Scott's specialized is expensive, but still the best in my opinion. A link to the current edition:

  13. I also collect used worldwide stamps. *** In a 1:1 basis. Are you interested?
