I am trying to complete a collection of the Historic Sites and Objects definitives from Germany. Mid-80s to mid-90s. I am only looking for used stamps. Does anyone have any available for trade or purchase? I have a lot of stuff to trade myself....I can give specific Sc. nos. if and when necessary.
Darrin have a look at the scan below, if this is what you are looking for, send me your address in conversation, and i will get out in the post for you, just buildings and artifacts i could find in my duplicates of Germany Steve View attachment 676
Steve, Wow, thank you for going through so much effort. I must apologize, though, because I am looking for a specific definitive series. I just purchased a lot on eBay which I posted the link to below. These are the stamps I am looking for. There are about 88 stamps in the series including pfennig denominated issues, pfenning/euro denominated and euro denominated, as well as lick and stick and die-cut self adhesives. I am trying to accomplish the whole series used. http://www.ebay.com/itm/29060487557...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_500wt_1413 The stamps above are great but please don't send them to me. I will send you my address, though, for future reference as a private message. This also prompts me to ask what you collect or are looking for that I might be able to offer in trade? Let me know when you get a chance. Guessing you are from Manchester, UK rather than Manchester, New Hampshire here in the colonies... Darrin
Darrin i have had 4 boxes sat on the top shelf for a year, so thought it best i sort them and finish my own germany sets, and in doing so be able to find my duplicates for yourself. these start from 1964 to 1977, i am working through the boxes so will put scans up dutring the day for you, but here is your first View attachment 692
Yes, I would like to trade for these and look forward to seeing your other scans. Incidentally I won your small Machin sheets at My Little Auctions....How do I pay you? It is my first time purchasing on this website and they are not as upfront about how to make payment. I have a Paypal account and saw your preferred payment method but I don't see how I will be able to do this on the website. Darrin
This is a nice group of stamps...what about putting it up for auction? Then again this is an exchange website so maybe I shouldn't be suggesting this...German commems always seem to sell well for me.
you have me confused now lol i thought you wanted these, to complete your collection? i am on the last lot here then i will sort out more for you, and now that i have sorted i will be putting lots up on ebay, but on here i just enjoy the trading.
I'm sorry. I am unfamiliar with the process and also I was confused about the thread of the conversation perhaps. Are you referring to the original scan of German commemoratives from Friday or the scan of definitives from today? Yes, I am definitely interested in your scan of stamps from today but not the stamps from Friday. Originally, I was only looking for stamps from one definitive series from Germany and did not mean for you to put so much effort into looking for stamps for me. I was referencing putting the stamps from Friday's scan up for sale at auction since you had already sorted them out. I did not mean to be unclear. Over the years I have rarely traded and don't know the ground rules. I might need some lessons...
Also, yes, I am only interested in the stamps to complete my collection(s). I am not going to turn around and put them up for auction myself.
i will send you an invoice for paypal from little auctions lol yes it was a bit confusing, as i thought why does he want to buy i understood that you did not want fridays, and i would rather trade than sell, so much more fun in trading. i had them there for ages, i do that a lot leave the definatives and just concentrate on the commemoration stamps lol, but they needed to be done so you just triggered me into it, and i am very please with what i have catalogued for myself so far. should not be long and i will have rest up for you to see, if you are happy i will post out with the items from little auction for you steve
that is good to hear, although once i have posted them they are yours to do with as you please, not enough hours in the day to go about checking on everything lol we seem to take everyone on here at face value, and there are a good group of people so far
Thanks. I was worried I was putting my foot in my mouth...What can I give you in trade? When I receive these stamps do you want me to select what I need and send the rest back to you? How do you all usually do this?
Darrin i am looking for USA and canada Mint at the moment, as i have very few oif these in my collection, so what ever you feel is worth what i am sending you, you can send to me no pressure. regarding the stamps i send, you use what you need to fill in your gaps, then after that you can either keep them for other trades or sell, i am not interested in having them back, as these were all taken from my duplicates. i have other definatives like safety at work ect if you are interested let me know. i will send my address on conversation, enjoy your stamps View attachment 693
Thank you and thanks for your patience with me. The above stamps look great. US and Canada mint...I will not have a lot of mint of either country unfortunately as the only country I collect mint is South Korea. I know, however, that I have some and I will see what I can find. Any time frame? I saw your "have" list on another posting and I will take a look at this though I am concerned I am not going to have much myself. I will scan what I find and let you take a look prior to sending.
no time frame mate, it is not an issue, korean stamps will be fine if they are your duplicates, i would hate to take stamps from anyones collection i may ask your help later on as i have not started on korea yet, but have a few boxful of used enjoy what i have sent steve
I lived in Korea for 8 years and I would buy full sheets as they came out. I have a lot of mint Korea, some of which I have sold on eBay, so I don't have as much as I used to but nonetheless enough that I can afford to send some your way. I'll start digging...
