I have posted this in "another forum" this month. Perhaps there are collectors in this forum as well, who collect Germany and might be interested in this series. In 1987 six values of the 1977/1982 castle-defintives were reprinted by Letterset-print,instead of "ordinary" Litho-print or Buchdruck,as before. As far as I know,Scott does not list the Letterset-prints,but maybe that changed already or will change in future. Michel does list them and the price differences between both prints are not insignificant. I scanned them all,but had a problem to straight them,as I placed the stamp directly on to the scanner and then added a black page. So,please excuse for some not so tidy placed scans. Upper stamp "Buchdruck" issued April 14th,1977 Lower stamp "Letterset",issued 1987 (no first day) Left stamp Buchdruck, right stamp Letterset. The difference is: Buchdruck shows squashed lines and looks a little bit untidy, while Letterset shows straight lines and a clearer image. Michel list the Buchdruck for mint € -.30,used € -.30 (minimum value), Letterset € -.30 mint,€ 1.20 used. As these are quite common stamps, often found in big duplication, it might be worth, having a close look at them. Both versions were also issued as booklet stamps, either imperforated at top or at bottom. Prices: (Michel 2020)Buchdruck € -.30 mint or used, Letterset € -.30 mint,€ 1.- used.
