Here is a nice YouTube on FDR and stamp collecting -

And, here is an excellent tome on the same subject!

I will post a review of the latter soon as well as a couple other reviews that just need a bit of polishing.

I hope everyone had a nice summer!

I'll return to StampExchange in a week or so; just wrapping up summer projects.

    Hi Molokai:

    Good to see you back!

The video was interesting. The transition from one stamp design to another was a little abrupt, but well worth the watching. I have been wanting to read the book for sometime. I'll have to put its acquisition on a front burner.

Howdy <DON>. It appears Brian Baur wrote an earlier book on Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Stamps of the United States 1933-45 (also Linn's but 1993 publication). I just ordered it and will review the two books together.

I don't know if I already posted this YouTube, or not. From 1955 some shots of Nassau Street.

Thank you, <HOCH>. I had a paper route for two years - lots of work for little money but a great experience.

I'll post some book reviews soon - the FDR books, The Persian Rug and the Philatelic Truck. StampExchange is mostly a worldwide forum and I am 'strictly US' save for passing interests in Hawaii, Newfoundland and some cinderellas.
