One of my favorite covers. A Civil War centennial stamp on a Civil War era cover. The 34 stars around the margin of the cover represent the 34 states that were part of the Union when the war began. The 20th Maine Regiment was the defender at Little Round Top at the battle of Gettysberg.

 

I love these old patriotic covers.

 

I got it recently in a box lot of FDC's.
