    I have a seven-frame exhibit of Carroll County, Iowa postal history (1854-1954). I am always looking for new or better material to improve the exhibit. The following is a list of the post offices in Carroll County during all or part of that time period:

    I was thinking of the same thing. I love the great cancel, very clear and clean. Dont see cancels like that to often.

    M.O.B. stands for Money Order Business. First authorized on May 17, 1864 and into effect on Nov. 1, 1864, this system authorized certain U.S. post offices to issue Money Orders for the safe transmission of relatively small amounts of $ through the mails.
