Some time ago I bought from an auction a used pair of the FRG Bach-commemoration stamps from 1950. I got them and into my album they went. Some time later I read a discussion about the difference between line - and comb-perforations.I knew that there were just two issues of the early FRG,the Bundestag set of 1949 and the Lübeck Marienkirchen set of 1951. When looking for the latter,I saw that my Bach-set was also line-perforated. I was puzzled and had a closer look: left my used set, right my mint set,I had owned for a long time. A closer look to the used one: Hard to miss: FAUX = forged or forgery. How blind can one be ? !!
bad luck Werner, not everyone reads the fine print on the bottom of stamps. They should add to your collection though as a curio !
