The second s.s. of this series is "extra-ordinary". It´s round with a diameter of 160 mm. It is one of the more difficult to find s.s. of Bhutan.
The most famous (and most valuable) set of the "extraordinary" stamps of Bhutan:"the talking stamps". The records tell the history of Bhutan,play folklore music and the national anthem. Here the lowest values.They are 69 mm in diameter. Issued April 15th,1973.
20th Thrown-Jubilee of King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk (1929-72), the "modernizer" of Bhutan. Printed on golden coloured plastic (?)-foil with backing paper. Most likely self-adhesive. Issued May 2nd,1973. (part I of 2)

Betty,maybe Bhutan is very small from an australian perspective. It is only slightly smaller than the Netherlands,but larger than Belgium. Bhutan is also larger than my home-state NRW (North-Rhine-Westphalia). Just our population is more than twenty-times bigger than that of Bhutan. (part II of 2)
The souvenir sheets to the set.Prices for the s.s. vary a lot.A dealer in Germany,normally offering stamps at reasonable prices,asks for € 475.- for the pair.But there are also an offer on e-bay f.i.,with an asking-price of € 60.- !
