Another hard to find overprint set of 13 stamps follows next. I have only this one with an inverted overprint.Such errors are offered, other than the "normal" set, quite frequently. Set issued July 1st,1971.
Large size, but otherwise very conventional, issued Sept.21st,1971. Three more air-mail values are of the same design as 10,20 Ch.and 3 Nu. Set (7 stamps) exists perforated and imperforated.
Again a "normal" series, issued Nov.30th,1971. Three more values exist,75 Ch.,2 Nu.,6 Nu. with the same pictures as the three shown.Exists perforated and imperforated. A souvenir sheet contains the 2 Nu. and 6 Nu. stamps. Was issued perforated and imperforated.
UNO set of 7,overprinted to honour the World Refugee Year. Issued Dec.23rd,1971.Exists also imperforated. No s.s.
Paintings: stamps with a structured surface (kind of embossing) and a laquered overcoat to make them look like oil-paintings. Issued Jan.29th,1972. (part I of 2)
The s.s. of the series look pretty plane. If you have a closer look, you will see that set stamps and those from the souvenier sheets are slightly different.
Famous men, issued April 17th,1972. The stamps (set of 6) were produced in the same way as the ones of 1971,shown in posts 117+118. And they pose the same problems:they are so thick, that one could only keep them in place,if nailed to the page. And the glue is leaking. Have a look at Gandhi´s hand.Looks somewhat creepy to me.
Dont´t have a (conventional) set for the Munic Olympics, issued June 6th,1972. Next is another 3-D issue: Apollo XVI,issued Sept.1st,1972. (part I of 2)
Two series of 6 and 8 stamps, showing dogs, follow. I have just the two souvenir sheets of the second series, issued Jan.1st,1973: sets and s.s. exist perforated and imperforated.
Slightly more unusual is the following set: Fragrant Roses, issued Jan.30th,1973. Exist perforated and imperforated. Maybe after nearly 50 years the scent has almost disappeard. Mine smell at best like some slightly perfumed soap-bar.
