I'm going to the APS show here in Atlanta today...hopefully to find something worth buying. Anyone ever been to 1 of these shows?

Dont have a problem with that but, one has band practice, the other a birthday party, and they both have to alter serve this weekend. So it wont work. :(

In 2015 there will be an APS show at DeVos Place here in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is the convention center facility next to the hotel I work in. Hopefully I will still be an active member of this site and you all will visit me here in Grand Rapids.

Sure...just bring beer...and you can all crash in our finished basement and compete with my kids for use of the Xbox.

Neither. Both are closer to water than beer. West Michigan has some of the best local breweries in the country. It would be my honor to bring my English friend to the local pubs to sample.

ahh so USA is the same as Australia then, you export the crap beers to UK and tell us it is the best lol ;)

i went to australia for a month about 10 years back, and there was no fosters or xxxx to be found, and the locals all said no one drinks it

That's right. We get the Foster's and the XXXX here as well. Never drink the stuff. Better national brands here are Sam Adam's (a good patriot and revolutionary! Oops....lets not talk about the war...) and Leinenkugel's otherwise the local micro-breweries are the best.

apart from guiness do you have any other UK lagers and beers, a little off topic i know but i find the different cultures quite facinating lol

I'm pretty sure a number of UK lagers and beers are available at even some of the local bars that specialize in international beers. I have seen Samuel Smith, Sharp's and Bristol. Some are available in specialty wine and beer shops as well. The local grocery store has only US and local brands.

Ultimately this thread concerns APS stamp shows and the possibility of visitation of one or more members to another member during said show. In my personal opinion, establishing a schedule for said visitation and determining an agenda of activities,..i.e. beer tasting and visiting local waterholes is completely within the parameters of this thread. Just sayin'...
